I was excited to read the subtitle "from gentle parenting to confident parenting" and the goal of clarity. My family muddled through and eventually got to the clarity part. Very helpful guide I wish I had 10 years ago!
I think “Authoritative Parenting” might paint the wrong picture in parents’ heads before reading this one. This parenting style reminds me a lot of the classic parenting book How to Talk so Kids Will Listen & Listen so Kids Will Talk.
Hopefully something with the goal of teaching instead of punishing and using natural consequences instead of run of the mill ones like taking the phone away for any unwanted behavior

You speak of boundaries but without consequences. What are the consequences if
A child crosses the boundart?

Consequences are not punishment unless the adult makes them such. Consequences do teach. Boundaries without consequences are merely hopes.
